Let me start with just some random thoughts. I am looking forward to sharing with you through this venue over the coming months…years?? I am excited about what God is doing at Cornerstone Church. We have a great mixture of ages with God doing some cool stuff in the various age brackets. Having been at Cornerstone for just over a year now I feel like I am seriously starting to get a sense of the pulse of this body of believers and potential believers.

If you look at another section of this website you will read some very thought provoking questions that come from our children’s ministry department. Those questions tell you that God is at work in the hearts of our kids and that He better be at work in the hearts of our leaders if they are going to answer the questions. I think there is much to learn from our children about our relationship with God. Things like trust and simplicity and awe. Just basic stuff but good stuff. Do you know what I mean?

I am looking forward to my youngest daughter coming home from Victoria for a weekend soon. She makes me think and often puts a smile on my face with her interesting approach to life. She just doesn’t settle and I think that is a great thing.

This weekend I will be in Manitoba with my wife visiting her mother while I engage in some long term planning. That is going to take a lot of thinking. Thankfully I am one of the blessed ones who really does enjoy a wonderful realtionship with his mother-in-law so the time there will be healthy for me to do some thinking.

I have a bazillion thoughts banging around in my head most days.  Half the time I am just asking God which of these do you want me hold on to or chase for a while? I do not get frustrated by this. I figure it is just who I am so I have joyfully embraced this part of my walk with the Father. It is during those times that I truly feel like His child. Here I am Father with all these thoughts and questions. Let’s just spend some time together and I will fire some questions your way God.

As you are visiting our site online feel free to visit our physical location. No perfection here…I guarantee you that much. Hopefully you will find other imperfect people on a journey that connects and separates throughout the week until we meet back togther on Sundays.  We see ourselves as fellow travelers who are always open to others joining us at this stage of the journey.  It is my job on Sundays to send some thoughts as well as challenges out to the travelers.  Come and be challenged with us.
