Russ, my wife and I listened to your vision message this morning, in our hearts we both said that this would be a church that we would find ourselves apart of, a clear, bible, risk taking vision, that causes me the believer to take up the biblical challenge. Being out of vocational pastoral ministry and transitioning into the world as a lay person is an interesting journey. We agree with every word that God has given you and I am thrilled that my daughter and son-in-law are serving with a lead pastor who as you said, "I want to change the world". It would seem that our passions are on a parrelled mission. As I live and love the world in my neighbourhood, I often wonder how to bridge the gap between people who are interested in Jesus, but not really interested in the people of Jesus, I believe with all my heart, more that ever that the church is the hope of the world, not because Bill Hybal says it, but because God says it, and I pray that God would continue to lead us the church to BE the church that will change the world he has called us to live in.
Thanks Daryl. I truly believe we are on the right track with this vision. Now we have to be relentless in pursuing the vision. That is my focus during these cold spring days. ugh!

Bring on the manliness. I can't wait for some rockin', gear turning, sports loving, honourable and good manliness. I am excited for this vision and hope that everyone gets on board this vision. I pray that through the power of God those things/people/groups that are against the vision will either get on board or get off the boat.
